Our History

Endoinyo Erinka Comprehensive School has played a key role in transforming education and community development in our locality. What began as a small school with just 15 learners has now grown to over 800 students, thanks to the collective efforts of the community, local leaders, and partners like Sterling Africa Foundation and Pardamat Conservancy.

Education & Facilities

Our school caters to learners from preschool to junior secondary under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
We have:

  • Modern classrooms equipped with desks, lockers, and learning materials.

  • A well-stocked preschool playground with swings, slides, roundabouts, and trampolines.

  • Access to computers provided by Sterling Africa Foundation.

We also offer boarding facilities, where learners pay an affordable fee (Ksh 8,000 for Junior School and Ksh 6,500 for Primary) that covers meals and basic needs.

Our Journey

Sustainability & Innovation

Our community emphasizes self-sufficiency and innovation. We operate a large 60-acre compound, which includes:

  • A greenhouse producing spinach, kale, and cabbages to support school meals.

  • A livestock program, supplying milk and generating income through cattle sales.

These projects help sustain the school and support various development initiatives.

Power & Connectivity

With the support of Sterling Africa and Pardamat Conservancy, the school runs on a hybrid solar power system, ensuring reliable electricity.
Additionally, Sterling Africa provided Starlink internet connectivity, giving teachers and learners access to online research and digital learning resources — a major step forward for a rural school with no traditional network coverage.

Impact

Many former learners have advanced to colleges and universities, and some have returned to serve the community as teachers, professionals, and leaders. The school remains a pillar of growth, nurturing future generations and empowering the entire community.
